DeoxyriboNucleicAcid Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Alright, I don't know where I got this mineral, I jus found it in my closet, lol.It seems to consist of pinkish crystals in a light purple background. The purple background has a streak of white, and the pink crystals are very hard, and dont have much of a streak at all.
Nisou Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 congratulations! you have discovered a new species of rock in your closet!! o_o;; sorry i dont know what it is
Tesseract Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I cant help you directly but here you go: http://www.timerock.com/timerock/library/minerals/identifier.asp good luck with that.
Phi for All Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I think it's a sponge from Avon's Designer Loufa line that has calcified from prolonged exposure to old socks at the back of your closet....
Dave Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Doesn't look like quartz to me, texture isn't right. Could be completely wrong though
aommaster Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Could it be amethyst? Small crytalling forms of it?
DeoxyriboNucleicAcid Posted June 14, 2004 Author Posted June 14, 2004 it could be anything, but we are trying to narrow it all down. And just to clarify something if it is not clear already; the mineral DID NOT FORM in my closet, it was lying around in a box when I was going through some of my old stuff.
