scilearner Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Hello everyone, I just started biology and I have lots of clarifications If red blood cells are created in the bone marrow how do they enter the circulatory system. Do they permeate through the blood vessels?
Mokele Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Bones are actually quite well-vascularized, mostly to allow release and re-deposition of calcium, but this also applies to the marrow.
GDG Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Wikipedia has a pretty good illustration of bone structure.
