ps: In regards to the blue pill relevant to the OP, I'm not suprised at this supposedly "unexpected" healing power of m & m's: after all, my doctor uses them periodically to induce vomitting in patients ;)

you know i heard a lot about this but what difference is in the m&mS other the food coloring ? i never actually thought the candy shell was any different other then colors

Each colour in m&m's is made up of a different compound which has it's own unique colour signature, hence their use. The blue ones contain a compound called Brilliant Blue G which is the chemical stirring researchers interest
