Reaper Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Alright, so I have this new concept for building a new computer, which is not only put multiple processors, but also multiple motherboards. I'm saving up for the parts of a new computer right now, so I am wondering if it is possible to synchronize two motherboards together. I want to do this to see if it will help improve performance (like faster speed, etc.). If it was possible, would it yield any significant advantage over having one motherboard?
insane_alien Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 its called clustering. here's a 4 motherboard one. http://www.calvin.edu/~adams/research/microwulf/ it will make stuff faster but only if you set it up right and then only stuff that benefits from multiple threads.
