UC Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 The chalcogen is sulfur. It is even on wikipedia, although it doesn't have it's own page. It is to the best of my knowledge not comercially available. I am looking at what I think is the first published paper on it: september 2006

iNow Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I have been looking this up for awhile now and have come to the conclusion that a polycyclic aromatic molecule WITHOUT HYDROGEN leads to a headache and confusion! As cool as it is that UC crushed you guys, I wanted to acknowledge the above response as my personal favorite.
macscigirl Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 owchee. UC, that was an obscure one Agreed, now who's gunna post another?! ps. Thanks iNow
hermanntrude Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 here's one then: I am a heterocyclic oligomer with a name which seems very appealing. VERY appealing ;0)
Xittenn Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Is that another hint or are you agreeing with macsci?
hermanntrude Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 hint. I also contain carbon and sulfur, but unlike the last one, I contain hydrogen too
Xittenn Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Would I be far off if I searched through Thiol containing Oligopeptides?
hermanntrude Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Would I be far off if I searched through Thiol containing Oligopeptides? yes. I guess you could call me a homooligomer, although i've never heard the term used before. I am conductive, and consist of six five membered rings
