bascule Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-08-26-ted-kennedy-obit_N.htm Love him, hate him, worry about him accidentally driving off a Marthas Vineyard pier and killing innocent women, the man has been a fixture of the American political system for decades. He will be missed.
Pangloss Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Well put. I often disagreed with his politics, but his place in history is incontrovertible. Interesting story today about political swirl regarding the appointment of a successor, which comes at a critical time due to the pending votes on health care this fall. I guess the Senate is below its 60-seat filibuster-proof majority now. http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2009/08/mass_governor_s.html
