triclino Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Somebody asked me if i knew what the Rule of conditional proof is and how is used in mathematics and particularly in analysis. can anyone help with respect to that??
ajb Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 The conditional proof assumption is just that if something is true then some desired outcome is also true. They allow you to prove theorems by starting from existing theorems. If you are looking for a deeper answer in logic, then I cannot really help you.
