Chuck Norris Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hi, I'm trying to draw a smiley face on a graphics calculator without conics, however I am stuck on how to make y the subject of a function in which the function is a conic and is essentially a circle. How do you make y the subject of the equation? (x-5)^2+(y+5)^2=4 ^ denotes to the power of.
swansont Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 put the x term on the other side (it gains a - sign) take the square root of both sides subtract the constant from both sides
