ydoaPs Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 When did we start getting the ability to give negative reputation? I just noticed that we can now select "I disapprove" in the reputation box.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 A few weeks ago. It's an experiment to see how well negative reputation will work. 1
cameron marical Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Im glad, maybe it will more make people think before they post.
iNow Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Im glad, maybe it will more make people think before they post. I should neg rep you for making such a silly comment.
CaptainPanic Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I'm curious how much more the negative rep will be used (relatively) in the politics subforum than on other forums. (Not sure if the mods can monitor that though).
iNow Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Admins can see that stuff and run reports if needed. Also, I think we've seen our first disagreeable use of the system, as noted by Cameron here: http://www.scienceforums.net/forum/showthread.php?p=512798#post512798
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Fortunately the person who gave him negative reputation has so little reputation that it has absolutely no impact on Cameron's reputation points.
insane_alien Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 i suppose thats the one goot thing about the reputation system. only those with good reputation can have any real effect and are less likely to abuse the system.
