Sayonara Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 What Dave said. For Linux, Bluefish is pretty nice. For Windows avoid Coffee Cup like the plague. I use DWMX so I have no idea which free ones are good, but I heard good things about Arachnid. Or Spider. Well it was named after something with lots of legs.
Lance Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Ya, I have never seen the need for an html etitor. I just use notpad or netscape composer. Hey, real men code in binary.
Dave Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Personally I use Dreamweaver MX for most of my web stuff - it's not free, but it sure rocks.
Dave Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Composer is okay for the most basic of pages, but anything up from that and it just dies.
Aegir Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Notepad. I really never saw the point to any other editor for any type of programming.
Dave Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 I have to say that when I'm writing larger projects, syntax highlighting is a nice feature to be able to have. However, most of the time I'm working in a Linux shell so it's a big hard to get.
