infinitesolid2 Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Millions of Piezo sounder material manufactured in very long strips, attach both ends to poles, upright in the sea to generate electricity using the waves. Or some sort of mechanical wave blanket in layers through the sea. Or simply a millions of water wheels. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedFound a patent "Piezoelectric generation of electrical power from surface waves on bodies of water using suspended weighted members" http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5578889.html That patant differs from my invention as I wish to use undercurrent or surface waves if I can get cerramics to vibrate using metal or other. This is getting alkward as I could be stepping on patenters toes. Edited September 13, 2009 by infinitesolid2 Consecutive posts merged.
insane_alien Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 you biggest problem is having the strip upright. that won't do anything for surface waves. not only that but peizo electric generation from waves has actually been well researched. tell me, do you actually do any checking with your 'inventions' or just spam them out as fast as you can and not think about them?
infinitesolid2 Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 (edited) my inventions have possabilities. Im not too fused at the surface waves, I need resonance. Looking in to making some crystals http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/07/how_to_make_piezo_crystal.html for experimentation. insane_alien Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 why do you need resonance? what you want to do is dampen the waves. this means you are extracting energy. if you get resonance then you aren't extracting energy, you're reflecting it. as to reasearch on the topic http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=7&url=http%3A%2F%2Fpdf.aiaa.org%2Fpreview%2FCDReadyMIECEC04_858%2FPV2004_5703.pdf&ei=wh6uSt7WMeDTjAf5kuzTBw&usg=AFQjCNEl0AuxDNvgGdFiBqz4mwgPpjR8Tg&sig2=FxWoma7bY4ItqsYpdqqQOQ <there is a sample. just google it. its everywhere.
infinitesolid2 Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Guess ill leave it up to to them.
