ajb Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 If a material object travels faster than the speed of light as measured in a co-moving inertial reference frame then it is possible to find an inertial frame in which the object is moving backwards in time. If that is what you are asking about?

If you draw a line corresponding to a particle moving faster that the speed of light (the 45 degree line) you can find another frame in which the particle moves backwards in time. Have a play about with the diagrams, have fun.
