blike Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 here's the deal: I switched the limit recently (maybe a month and a half to two months ago). Those who have had their icon since before the switch get to keep them. If you change your avatar now, you'll have the new limits. Icons out of the gallery are also immune to limits. Sorry for the confusion.

It was an oversight really, but I'm not likely to change it. When I changed the avatar size limits I didn't apply it to moderators and admins.
