Jeju Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Hello everybody! I want to know if there is any relationship between Biochemistry and the feelings of Love for the opposite sex?
Moontanman Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I don't know about love but I do know that I am only attracted to women who smell right. It has nothing to do with perfume or bathing, it is a very subtle thing but I know the instant I am close enough to smell them. 1
Speldosa Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Start with checking out Helen Fisher but keep a healthy dose of sceptiscism. Sometimes she makes claims that haven't really been confirmed in humans, especially when it comes to oxytocin.

We use smell to identify people with a different profile of immunity genes than us, and feel attracted to them. I guess the children of such matchings have a stronger immune system.

Jeju Posted October 14, 2009 Author Posted October 14, 2009 Helen fisher's has contributed alot to this topic but apart from her, is there any other scientist that has any other significant contribution?
