birch Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Hi Could someone please tell me how alcoholic hand gel works? I know it's something to do with alcohol dehydrating the bacteria but could you explain it in more scientific detail? Thanks!
Genecks Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Alcohol denatures proteins. It also screws with the cellular structure of bacteria. I believe that's the case.
birch Posted October 22, 2009 Author Posted October 22, 2009 Cool, thanks Genecks. I couldn't find anything about how it works on the internet:-)
