Guest ben_cj
I'll take any recommendations for speed reading software. Keep in mind I would like a program I could use long-term. Also, I'm not interested in reading 1000's of words per minute, only to improve my reading. Thank you.
Glider
I don't know of any such software. What's wrong with books?
Guest ben_cj
No, there's nothing wrong with books. Would you recommend any?
Glider
Anything at all that interests you and can hold your attention for long periods. The simple fact is that the best (and arguably the most rewarding) way to improve your skill and speed in reading, is to do a lot of it. If you are going to do a lot of it, it's best that you choose material that interests you. There is a whole world of literature (several worlds in fact, if you include Sci Fi) to choose from. Good hunting, and enjoy!

Come to my English teacher's website, esp here: http://homepage.mac.com/ericmacknight/ind_rdg.html it has alot to do to forming reading habits, as Glider says, keep on practicing reading is the best way...... on my teacher's website, it also has some other resources like writing skills, note-taking skills, thinking skills, etc..... hope you enjoy!! zhuam
I know of a software called EyeQ. It is VERY expensive. I used it several times. After the session your eyes hurt like hell!
