carbon_p Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Hi, I have poster presentation on ultraviolet visible spectroscopy, But i am confused, where should i concentrate more. I have to show more on dissociation constant of drug for protein. But the information is not availbale. Note, its not acid dissociation constant but it is dissociation constant, Kd (amount of drug concentration required to saturate 50% of receptor)
greenprogrammin Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 For the first part of your UV Spectroscopy I would consider the woods lamp. There is a lamp known as the woods lamp (includes the woods lens). This lamp is a UV lamp that is used in dermatology to flouresce dermal fungal and bacterial infections. These dermal fungal and bacterial infections will flouresce different colors. You may consider this form of macroscopic UV spectroscopy and adapt it for your needs.
