insane_alien
stop repeating yourself. also, standard pumping techniques can exceed that by several orders of magnitude.
infinitesolid2
also, it is not the pumping requirements that limit boats, but the drilling requirements. the pumps are actually quite low power. only a few megawatts. that is total crap! a drill can drill to any depth.
insane_alien
no they can't. the deepest is 12km beyond this it gets too hot and the drill head is weakened. not only that but the rock is hot enough to flow. you can't drill through liquids.(not only that but there's no oil at such depths)

infinitesolid2
remember this alien, im the only person in 3 billion people to work this out. insane_alien
work out what? you haven't worked out anything. you're just touting numbers you pulled out of your rear end(admitedly) as fact. also, there are nearly 7 billion people in the world. you didn't ask about oil, you said they'd never drilled 12 km, i provided proof that we have. infinitesolid2
How many people does it take to hold back a car? about 75-100? A tank of petrol would last that car about 3 hours? a tank is about 30 litres. How many litres or crude oil can 75-100 people pull on a trolly? about 10,000 litres or 100 litres per person. Thats 10,000 litres of crude oil for a tanks worth of petrol. 1 person could lift 100 litres on a pully. Not worth taking gravity in to account. So 1 tank of petrol can lift 10,000 litres of crude oil for 3 hours. A Car an do 300+ miles in 3 hours, so can lifting petrol. 1 TANK = 10,000 litres lifted 300+ miles! NO WAY A PUMP CAN DO THAT! Shout out yo if your a believer!!!
insane_alien
repeating yourself doesn't make you magically right. also, i don't know why you say gravity doesn't need to be taken into account. it most certainly does.

insane_alien
multi coloured repeats don't make you magically right either. also, why are you still ignoring gravity? its like the main bit of lifting.
infinitesolid2
even if im 100 times out thats still 100 litres per 30 litres used to lift 300+ miles. thats a lot of profit!! were only at 1 mile! Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedmulti coloured repeats don't make you magically right either. also, why are you still ignoring gravity? its like the main bit of lifting. pushing and lifting aint that much different, its definatly not 100 times harder is it? insane_alien
but can you prove it is better than current methods? also, you're comparing a car engine to a pump engine. totally different scenarios. one is tuned to work at a wide range of RPM's the other is designed to work at 1 specific RPM and be mega efficient at it. not to mention nearly all pump engines are electric anyway. insane_alien
no, i'm fine. its you who needs to take a break, actually have a good think about this and conduct a more detailed analysis of it. perhaps do some token calculations(remember to include gravity). again, multi coloured repeats don't make you right.
