the guy Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 when you electrolyse water, does the oxygen at the anode stay as atomic oxygen (O) or combine to form molecular oxygen (O2)?
insane_alien Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 atomic oxygen is highly reacitve. it won't stick around for long. it'll combine with other oxygen atoms to make oxygen but also pretty much anything else.
the guy Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 oh ok thankyou, is it the same with the hydrogen then?
