Fanghur Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I just finished reading a book where one of the characters was born without any eyes; no lids, sockets, etc. It got me wondering what it would be like to not have any eyes. What would that person "see" (for complete lack of a better term)? Normally a blind person would just see blackness, but if you actually didn't have eyes at all, you couldn't even see darkness; you couldn't even "see" nothing. This is probably something that only someone in that situation would know.
insane_alien Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 same thing you 'see' out of your field of vision.
jake.com Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 if you're talking about this from birth, then the person wouldn't know what you're talking about. they would have no concept of sight or vision, since they have never experienced it. The closest thing i can think of for a comparison would be what a deaf person "hears". If it was from birth, he would have no concept of sound.
