iNow Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/11/martian_landscapes.html?amazing Wow. There was a similar shot shared yesterday on APOD with the Martian moon Phobos. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap091107.html
Baby Astronaut Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 Un-freakin-believably astounding pics. Some have me thinking of what you'd see under a petri dish of alien microbial stuff, others have me thinking of water ripples. Many just really strange looking. Thanks Martin.
Arch2008 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Most excellent! I remember that Carl Sagan had to argue to get a camera added to the instrumentation put on the first probes. The bean counters couldn’t see any scientific reason for taking pictures of another world.
StringJunky Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Exquisite content, exquisitely executed...quite moving to see such natural beauty. Thanks Martin.
Airbrush Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Fascinating pictures! Thanks for sharing. What a wide range of terrain. Are those pictures enhanced or is that very much what we would see if we were there?
Who Am I Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/11/martian_landscapes.html?amazing All these Mars landscape shots are incredible and astonishingly beautiful. Some are taken from over the polar icecaps Apologies if somebody already posted link to these. My eyes just welled up with tears. I hope I can explore space. I want it like nothing else...
pywakit Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Martin thank you for this, too. It breaks my heart to think what men like Lowell, and Burroughs, and even Wells missed out on. Could we exist at a better time? We are so incredibly lucky, aren't we .....
boymc Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I have small video about Mars http://mariecurie.biz/blog/mars-dead-or-alive-208.html
