JoeOh Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I would like to do some experimenting with some superconducting YBCO toroid disks measuring about 2" in outer diameter, 1" inner diameter, and 1/2" thick. I've tried to search for a price list on the web with no luck. I even tried Ebay. I hope they are not terribly expensive as I need 4 of them. It would be great if the sizes were close to what I have stated. Thanx-
insane_alien Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 http://superconductors.org/PlAY.htm you'll also need liquid nitrogen to keep them cool and in the superconductive state.
JoeOh Posted November 14, 2009 Author Posted November 14, 2009 Of course I know that I gotta use LN2. At least LN2 is on the cheap side. If anything, I'll be more worried about safety issues.
