the guy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 i read somewhere that electrolysis of urea solution can produce hydrogen, but what are the other products?
adianadiadi Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 First of all urea is non electrolyte but exists in equalibrium with ammonia which is alkaline and furnishes OH- ions. Hence not water can show conductivity. This results in the electrolysis of water where upon H2 is evolved at cathode and O2 at anode.
