One of the Few Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm stoked to hear that Physicist/Author Michio Kaku's book "Physics of the Impossible" will now be broadcasting on the science channel as a regular program. This was my first book on physics and I read it cover to cover. And as a follow up to this, do any of you have propositions for impossible inventions, ideas, your own theories...et cetera
Dudde Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Interesting, this I think was the first book I'd read cover to cover as well, I like his writing style. Good to know.
Ouroboros Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Ahhhh, Kaku. I'm reading 'Hyperspace' at the moment. His writing style makes it so easy to read and visualise. If 'Physics of the Impossible' is as good as you say it is, I'll have to get that one next. Cheers
One of the Few Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Yes, it's not like most physics books though. You don't NEED to read the book in order, it's in sections that can be read individually. It is extremely re-readable, I must have read the whole thing a total of 5-6 times.
HOMER-16 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Wow, I loved him on television... I should get these books.
One of the Few Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 HOMER, I highly recommend them, they are worth-while reading material.
HOMER-16 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I looked for them yesterday at a small bookstore but couldn't find them... I need to look in Barne's and Nobel's...
One of the Few Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 Good, idea. At stores like Border's Books I found several copies. I wouldn't know where exactly to purchase a copy, as i came by mine as a birthday gift.
HOMER-16 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I looked at Border's... not even a section relevant to science... exept maybe computers... but then again it was a very small store at a mall so...
One of the Few Posted December 12, 2009 Author Posted December 12, 2009 Yeah, the larger ones will most definately have it. But if you are so determined so get ahold of a copy, you should probably just shop online. It will save you a good bit of effort
