matter Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Get this guy out of office. He doesn't care about the goddamned environment. Destroying forests seems like such a bad idea on a time scale. The U.S. is using so much timber lately and I have no idea why. Can't we just all have houses made of stone or something? They'd last a lot longer! http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/science/07/13/forest.rules.change.ap.ap/index.html
Irken_Link Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 WELL, that's definently going to change my vote.(even though I'm only twelve) By the way, that was not sarcastic.

pi_of_9 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Trees are a renewable resource. The forests should not be clear cut, but certainly need thinning and the underbrush cleared and made into pulp. Proper management is of utmost importance.

That's great if the only part of woodland/forest ecosystems you're interested in is whether or not there are trees there. It's not so great if you actually want the ecosystem to survive.
