differences in matter in another dimension

We currently believe that quantum field theory is the best way to describe matter and forces. It is possible to formulate some of this in space-times of arbitrary signatures, i.e. more than one time. In fact you do this when discussing twistors, but this is a different matter.

I am not sure if there are any underlying problems with quantisation with more than one time. There maybe, I would have to look that up.
