Where are talking about 3D.... i don't like geometry too much to care, but in my opinion.... as the 3D renderers work (most) i would think that way... like a circle has 1 side... an sphere are two circles intersected. i would determinate the numer of sides by the numer of interections of the circunferences if the horizontal and vertical circles... both spinning the 360 for each..... or something like that... but well... thinking

of sides in 3D is kinda.... weird.. cause a side is made from a plane and well... in 3D a plane does not really exists cause it doesn't have Z.

So... as there was said.. its matter of definition.

I'd say the limiting form of the mesh is a pretty reasonable argument.
