One Wordproblem for my genetics class

What are the chances of the child contracting the following autosomal genetic defect. The child's father gave birth to a son having the defect whilst being with his ex-wife. The child's mother's brother had it. If his mother and father, neither having the defect, mated what would be the chances of the child contracting the defect?

 

I don't know which way to tackle it!

First: the word autosomal tells you something.

 

As for the child's father giving birth, that seems a little unlikely. Likewise for the child to contract a disease due to his parents mating

 

Now, can you tell if this disease is due to a recessive or dominant gene?

 

Then, from the clues given, who has the genes for this disorder, and how many copies of it?

 

Finally, use a Punnet square.

I realize the father must be heterozygous but the mother could be either!
