Cap'n Refsmmat Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 What is your favorite type of pet? Cat for me, no other animal will sleep with you without hogging the whole bed.
Phi for All Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I was a dog-lover and a cat-hater until I got married and had a child. Now I find dogs too high-maintenance when it comes to attention. Give me a lazy, aloof, independent cat anyday.
PerpetualYnquisitive Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 http://planethalflife.com/potd/index.asp?id=469161 Houndeye hijinx.
Skye Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I've had plenty of different kinds of pets; blue tongue lizards, long- and short-necked tortoises, carpet snake, peacocks, a bunch of fish, crayfish, mexican walking fish, mice, probably others I forget now. But anyway I think dogs are the best, that's why they are such popular pets. Actually one time I caught a baby goshawk and that would have been pretty cool to keep.
Tesseract Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Snakes own your stupid fluffy mammals. Ill get a gorilla and pound you pittyful snake.
Sayonara Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Gorilla vs Reticulated Python = no contest. See you next year
Tesseract Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Gorilla vs Reticulated Python = no contest. See you next year Ha, my africanized killer bees can kill your snake anyday.
Sayonara Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Ha, my africanized killer bees can kill your snake anyday. Only if they can swim.
YT2095 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 do Pet Rocks count? I have Cats, so I guess they`re my fave, oh and several Chili Plants (I`ll bet they don`t count either?). my other "pets" are the Animals in my garden, I feed them and some are quite tame and visit regularly right up close, though again, not strictly "Pets" I consider them to be mine for as long as they want to be
Sayonara Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 do Pet Rocks count? http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2362
YT2095 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Can someone add snake/turtle to the poll options? yeah, I`ve added it as reptile, and added Insects also, anything after that has to go into Other now though. LOL Sayo, I forgot about that link
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 Pity that thread died. It was hilarious. Can someone add snake/turtle to the poll options?nevermind edit: posted the same time as yt! woah...
Dave Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Can't believe nobody put "fish" on there. Disgraceful.

admiral_ju00 Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Still nobody added primate.Id still like a monkey the best. In some places it is illegal to keep primates as pets. Eg: NYC.
birdo118 Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Snakes own your stupid fluffy mammals. Thank you...thank you....thank you.....i agree entirely with your statement there. as a proud owner of 5 permanent snakes, not to mention the 15 new ones i get twice a year because i breed by snakes, i would like to put out my statement in support of snakes as the ultimate animal............snakes own everything, if you look at their food chain it is easy to see that there is not much that they dont eat, except veggies....
Lance Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 What about a no pet option? I dont see what people get out of owning a pet.
5614 Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 i like dogs, as after all: "dogs are man's best friend" ! i love tigers though, but i dont think i can legally keep one as a pet!
