mister_me Posted January 10, 2003 Posted January 10, 2003 What would you guys do if you were given ultimate athority over everything on this planet? I would have an instant world reform and since I would want to see it happen during my life, I would kill (maybe not kill. more like send to brainwash reform camps)anyone who was against me joining all countries into one huge world-wide nation. Kinda like Corosant in Star Wars. On huge planetary city. What would you guys do?........:feedback:
Sayonara Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 Uh.... the main story in the Star Wars series is that Coruscant could not sustain itself, because you can't please everyone and you can't protect people from themselves. The same basic premise kicks off the Foundation series of books. You'd better make sure you have a whole lot of brainwashing centers! I'll post my ideas tomorrow, as it's late and I have a headache thing going on
mister_me Posted January 11, 2003 Author Posted January 11, 2003 headaches do suck. Take some Asprin.
Sayonara Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 For once I didn't have anything in the house! Then I remembered I had some Lemsip Extra which are packed with paracetamol. \o/ Hurrah!
Soulja Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 You REALLY REALLY need to read the Prince by Machiavelli dont you?
Sayonara Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 Soulja, have you ever read an objective biography of Machiavelli?
fafalone Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 Too many differences for one leader to work; it's impossible to please even a majority of people with such large numbers and cultures.

fafalone Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 One day, I'll run the world and anyone who has a different opinion than me will be labelled ignorant and exiled to a island that will subsequently be used for testing various types of horrific weapons. :jk:
Radical Edward Posted January 11, 2003 Posted January 11, 2003 'an island' I will have an island with piles of grammar books
Giles Posted January 12, 2003 Posted January 12, 2003 You'd need three giant computers to help you run the world, much like whichever giant robot anime it is with the ever more scetchily drawn existentialist ending. Either that or multivac and a coin (obscurity ahoy!) Then the computers could get on with it, and you could get on with building a ridiculous throne room. And employ stephen fry as butler called jennings-smythe.
Radical Edward Posted January 12, 2003 Posted January 12, 2003 can we call them Casper, Melchior and Balthasar?
Soulja Posted January 12, 2003 Posted January 12, 2003 Originally posted by Sayonara³ Soulja, have you ever read an objective biography of Machiavelli? I've read more biographies on Machiavelli than you can imagine. I also read his play which is almost a porno lol. And his letters about him having sex with a bald old woman with a "watery cunt". And i also read Discourses, The Prince, The Art of War (AHHHHH boring!!!). But i havent read "Florentine Histories".
mister_me Posted January 13, 2003 Author Posted January 13, 2003 The problem with exiling ignorant citizens and submitting them to all kinds of shit is that they rebel and kill the emperor. But that still sounds like a good idea. You just would have to beef up security. and grammar books
mister_me Posted January 14, 2003 Author Posted January 14, 2003 I'm not a Nazi so I wouldn't kill them all. Mass slaughter is just wrong. You just have to hope that they don't rebel. Are you a Nazi?:flame:

Of course you would do all you could to make sure that they wouldn't rebel. I'm such a great leader, though, that nobody would have a reason to rebel. Just refrain from mass slaughter.:flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame::flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame:
fafalone Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 For all the humanitarians out there I guess we could simply require a high IQ to be allowed to procreate.
