maxnorman Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) I am a high school student interested in molecular biology and genomics. My school doesn't offer courses in these subjects--most don't, I'm sure--and therefore I must educate myself. How do I go about doing this? Here is my thinking: I must assemble a syllabus, and several textbooks and workbooks to establish a firm foundation in cell biology, chemistry, genetics, etc., then work through them at a steady pace. If I run into difficult concepts or problems, I have several advisers who will readily assist me. Is this reasonable? If so, which books should I procure? I appreciate any and all advice.
