Leison Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Plane mirror gives the laterally inverted image. I wonder , if we can make the mirror which can form the non-laterally inverted image, dorso-ventrally inverted image, anterior-posterior inverted image ,etc. Any ideas??
bloodhound Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 dont know if its possible with a single mirror. it can be done with combination of mirrors
Leison Posted July 27, 2004 Author Posted July 27, 2004 In fact , "laterally inverted" is itself strange but it's possible . In the same way can't non-laterally inverted image, dorso-ventrally inverted image, anterior-posterior inverted image ,etc be possible. think !!
swansont Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Plane mirror gives the laterally inverted image. It does? When I look in a mirror, the left side of me is still on the left side.
Radical Edward Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 not likely, since this is just a result of snell's law. you can do some stuff with conceve mirrors and so on, or complex optical setups though.
RICHARDBATTY Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 I think the only way you could get the post ant bit would be the super telescope idea where you could see all the way round the universe back to where your looking from.
