Memo Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I would like verified information on the amount of [harmful] radiation LCD monitors produce. If it is really varied, then I'd just like the amount of radiation production from HP w17e model [widescreen 17" i think]. Thanks!!! Your effort will be greatly appreciated.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 The w17e is an LCD monitor, so I'd assume so. According to some Googling, LCDs do not emit radiation: http://hometheater.about.com/od/lcdtvfaqs/f/lcdfaq2.htm Also, because of the nature of LCD technology, there is no radiation emitted from the screen itself.
Memo Posted February 28, 2010 Author Posted February 28, 2010 You sure you mean LCD and not CRT? Yeah, it's an LCD. http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=HP+w17e&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&start=0
