ydoaPs Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Why are we not supposed to answer questions using M/String Theory?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 See this thread: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5208
ydoaPs Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 could you type out the address? my computer still wont let me click on links.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 www .scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5208 take out the space in it. And what browser do you use?
ydoaPs Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 thanx, I think it is spyware. i have two programs to remove it, but it comes back.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Sayonara appeared skeptical that that was true. Post a link supporting it.
ydoaPs Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 I think it was deleted, but I'll look for it.
Sayonara Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 When we close threads we don't expect to see another thread opened with the same subject. Nobody has said that you aren't supposed to answer questions using string theory. Go back and actually read JaKiri's post this time.
ydoaPs Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 you said that wasn't the right place for it. what makes you think i am talking about jakiri's post?
Sayonara Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Listen, if the problem with the thread was just the forum it was placed under, then I would have moved the thread. The problem was that it was - and this one is - redundant. NOBODY TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD NOT USE STRING THEORY. You are referring to JaKiri's comments to you regarding the use of non-model physics in responses to questions that have model answers. If you don't understand what he means one might imagine he is the best candidate for explaining the matter.
ydoaPs Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 you're the one that said that was the problem with it. I never said I was talking about Jakiri. basically you are saying "don't answer questions with string theory if you can do it with the standard model"? what about questions like "why does a particle have the charge or spin that it does?" you would say "it just does" when it is explained by string theory.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 You are referring to JaKiri's comments to you regarding the use of non-model physics in responses to questions that have model answers. what about questions like "why does a particle have the charge or spin that it does?" you would say "it just does" when it is explained by string theory. He says they have answers without string theory. But Jakiri is best to be saying this.
Sayonara Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Since I don't believe you are this dumb I have to assume you are trolling.
