Icefire Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Analysis of Hubble Space Telescope Deep Field images in 2003 led to a debate about the physical implications of the Planck time as a physical minimum time interval. in which case could that mean that there is a transition period between one state of the universe and another, kinda like the framerate on a movie?
ajb Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I guess you could think about it like that. However, I expect it really to represent a breakdown of our classical ideas about time, which are complicated enough as it is.
KennyC Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I think yes it could be. It could also just be that we don't have tools/capabilities of measuring/determining anything faster/smaller - victims of our own reality.
