psi20 Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I bought a used reflecting telescope the other day and it turns out parts are missing. I'm missing the tube to the side to see the image, but I have a smaller refracting telescope and 2 small mirrors, too. Do you know of a way to use the reflecting telescope? Or maybe you could tell me how to determine the angles light reflects off a surface or something. That would help I think. Thanks.
jordan Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Why not just return it and get one with all the parts?
admiral_ju00 Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Check the link I posted in the Astronomy section about making your own telescope. The plans there may help you, or there is a whole society somewhere in Cali that's dedicated in helping the public to built cheat telescopes. Search around for it on his site 1st as I'm sure he mentiones it there somewhere.
