Airbrush Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Our Sun is a big star compared to most of the smaller stars in our neighborhood. Even though some giant stars may be thousands of times the size of our sun, their masses are rarely over 100 solar masses.
Mr Skeptic Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 We'd do just fine without the other stars, for now anyways.
Mr Skeptic Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 You're just not very good at asking interesting questions. It could be an age group thing. Many of us are college educated so it isn't all that easy to find something that is new to us.
the tree Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 You're just not very good at asking interesting questions. Here's a tip: try to ask actual questions that may have answers. Things like "isn't this cool?" or "freaky huh?" doesn't really lead anywhere. If you want to know something then "how does [X] work?" or "what is [Y]?" or even "how do we know about [Z]?" would be a good start. If you're not looking for anything specific, then try just reading existing threads.
