Career Change

Hi all -

 

I am currently a forensic mental health counselor and am considering a change to the computer science/IT field. I am interested in networking and web development. My questions are:

 

1) How are online degree's looked at within IT? In mental health and social work they are generally frowned upon.

 

2) From what I have seen, a bachelor's would be the best place to start. Do you have any recommendations as to what to look for in a good program?

 

3) How are the education received by Devry, ITT, etc regarded in the IT field?
