Mr Skeptic Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Eventually the only possible answers to that question are an infinite loop, or "because".
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Eventually the only possible answers to that question are an infinite loop, or "because". Why?
fredrik Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Well? I would be more worried for someone who didn't raise the question. I think some questions, like this one, more represents "direction" and "arrow of evolution" rather than an inconsistent state. After all we tend to perceive nature as as succession of moments, each moment encodes the implicit question "what next". Next question please. /Fredrik
ydoaPs Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Why? Because you're a bad little boy and Santa hates you.
Genecks Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Because of the physical existence combined with conscious awareness. Given that a being were simply a physical organism, it wouldn't question things. But since the physical organism has consciousness, it has to question whether or not to fight existence as it is. Thus, this would be a sign of free will within a deterministic system.
Phi for All Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Why not?Because your shoes may fall off if you don't.

Zolar V Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 while universe == true: Print("why?") else: Break lol
Syntho-sis Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Why allocate neurons to even ponder this question?
Zolar V Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Why allocate neurons to even ponder this question? Why not allocate neurons to ponder this question?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Why not allocate neurons to ponder this question? Why even allocate neurons to ponder if you should not allocate neurons to ponder the first question?
Sisyphus Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 You guys consciously allocate individual neurons? Crap, I think I'm doing it wrong. 1
