Yup, i think earthquake happen almost everyday.. whether it's weak or strong. Even my country which is off from the ring of fire have a small earthquake (>2.2 richter) last week.

Doe science tell us that quakes are happening more frequently, or are they just being reported more dramatically? If they're happening more frequently, I'd think that the media would report that too, but I haven't heard anything about it.

Quakes are random. yes, due to advance in communications, they are reported more. The media report whatever that is news worthy. especially if there is much casualty. Only the scientists knows better what is going on. The media probably doesn't know that much. But its good to know sometimes. If you are planning a vacation, and Haiti is in chaos, will you go there ?

I live very near an earth quake prone belt. but I've never experienced anything more than a slight dizzy feeling during an earthquake. Thanks to a land mass that usually buffers the impact.

Science can't predict earth quakes, like they predict weather.
