budullewraagh
can anybody here tell me the electronegativities/electropositivities of polyatomic ions? is there an activity series?
NSX
I've never seen such a thing. There are so many polyatomic ions. You could calculate the electronegativity/electropositivity for polyatomic ions yourself though.
budullewraagh
i'm not sure i could. example; i dont think that [math]NO_3- SO_4-2[/math]etc have electronegativities with similar correlation to their atomic substituents. also, i'd like to broaden this topic to include monoatomic ions.
