Zolar V Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 does anyone know how to make itunes at least useable?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 That's rather vague, isn't it? I use it just fine.
Zolar V Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Oh, sorry i was/am still pissed off at my itunes. let me rephrase that. Is there any way to increase the functionality of Itunes from near 0 to something worth it? Reason why I got Itunes in the first place: I have never been a fan of Apple anything, However i decided (against my better judgment apparently) to try Itunes and a Ipod Touch. now the Ipod touch is pretty cool. It does what i expect it to do, and it does what i expect other mp3 players to do, that being a basic computer. IE like a PDA. Problems I have with Itunes: 1) Its advertising is probably the biggest turn off ever. I don't want to look to my right and see a giant advertisement advertising every freaking song i don't have. 2) Its Coverage of Album artwork, now i know that not every cd is in a database somewhere with everything you ever wanted to know about a band. But COMMON, at least it should have the mainstream OR it should allow you to add your own because I can search for it and find it.. in about 2 seconds. 3) It DUPLICATES items, and then SHOWS me them and i cant do a damned thing about
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 What advertisements? If you're talking about the Genius sidebar, you can turn that off with View -> Show Genius Sidebar. You can also delete duplicates by simply hitting the Delete key...
Zolar V Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 not really when there is 400 some duplicates. Oh i didn't see that in the pull down menu "view". thanks. that alleviates roughly 1/3/2 of the problem.
swansont Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 If you are in the "Music" section (i.e. displaying all of your files) File > Display Duplicates
