amretired2 Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Got a HD TV, and after having problems, Comcast switched the Cable Box from their Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HDC to supposedly the newest thing, a CISCO RNG150. Am authorized for various premium stations and On Demand Video. Have always been able to record to either of my DVD/VCR recorders. Now when I try to record, get a message that it is Protected and cannot be recorded. Of course, Comcast just tells me that it an equipment problem. Of course it is, it's their hook up or the cable box. Until the new type cable box was connected, have alway been able to record anything that we are authorized for. Now even the NBC, CBS, ABC etc. stations are protected. Anyone with an idea, maybe it is the way the plugged in the cable between the recorder, TV and cable box, but examination shows nothing. Please advise.............and Thanks for the Help! Ciao............ Amretired2
Mr Skeptic Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Tell them if they can't fix it you'll switch to a company that actually provides you decent service...
