deltanova Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Hi! i just have a question In class today, we learnt that in a circle, the circumfrence divided by the diameter = Pi, why is this so?
Thales Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 Pi is simply a ratio of the diameter to the Circumfrence. No matter how big or small the circle is this ratio holds. Its a consequence of eulcidean geometry.
