TheDarkestNight Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Is there a way to possibly speed up an animals evolution?
jake.com Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Well, in a natural selection sense, yes. By introducing a species into an environment only some of its population is suited to, you can speed up the evolution process in favor of the suited phenotype. This is called directional selection, or the gradual shift of a population into a suitable phenotype based on the entire groups genotype.
