RICHARDBATTY Posted August 25, 2004 Author Posted August 25, 2004 The reason I posted this is not just that the universe is expanding but that the speed is increasing.
ydoaPs Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 it may not be. http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4747&page=1
RICHARDBATTY Posted August 26, 2004 Author Posted August 26, 2004 it may not be. [url']http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4747&page=1[/url]Thank you this is an interesting point that should be taken into consideration. Could I just clarify a point. Do you mean that space time is expanding but the matter is not moving apart faster but is slowing. That the red shift is due to the wave length of light expanding with space time in mid transmision.
ydoaPs Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 as space expands it pushes matter away. my speculation was that it speeding up is an illusion of relativity. i also have put a speculation of why inflation occurs. the second speculation is based on a cyclic universe
