-Demosthenes- Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 flogging molly isnt celtic... oh well I've always wondered... Is it flogging molly like the action "I'm flogging molly today" or is it describing molly, "Oh dear, here comes flogging molly to flog us all". I think Carbon Leaf is like a pop version.
Obnoxious Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 I've been listening to pro-communist songs in Chinese. Right now, I'm hearing: Dong fang hong, tian yan sheng, Zhong guo chu le yi ge mao ze dong! Ta wei ren ming mong xing fu Fu er hi yo! Ta shi ren ming da jiou xing!
-Demosthenes- Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Dude it's way depressing music IMO, it's really slow. LET'S GET SOME HOT HOT HEAT OVER IN HERE!

luc Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 I reccomend to hear the new album of Oasis "Don't believe the truth", that somehow goes back to their first albums
Nevermore Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Millencolin (swedish punk, lol) trance, indian music with turntables thrown in, the sort of things you'd expect someone on LSD to like. But I'm clean.

brave_new_world Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Ya Ecoli I love Emerson Lake & Palmer, amazing stuff The Karn Evil 9 songs would have to be my personal favorite by them. BRAIN SALAD SURGERY!
H2SO4 Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 no idea, my friend played some for me in his car, i dont actually have any. that was the description he used. he says its "flogging molly" [quote My uncle is in flogging molly. Nathan maxwell, he plays the bass. Has anyone here ever heard of cake? I personaly think there the greatest band on earth. They sung songs liek "never there" and "the distance".
Tom Mattson Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Music: What gets you rockin? Supa-Fo-Hunnit! Super 400, the band in my avatar. Mind blowing mid-60's style guitar-heavy rock. It's all their own music, but you can tell that they listen to a lot of Hendrix and Cream, which is my kind of music.
c dawg Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 i like good ole stuff like the maiden metallica acdc motley crue that stuuf I agree with you c dawg minus the Metallica part. I think this is the greatest quote of science forums history

Tetrahedrite Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I would have to say that 4 or 5 of my top ten songs of all time come from RADIOHEAD. Not many people appreciate how brilliant they actually are!! (they are usually the same people who like Good Charlotte or Avril Lavigne)
Guest infoterror Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Dead Can Dance Burzum Deicide VNV Nation R.E.M. Iron Maiden Judas Priest Jesu and lots of Beethoven
□h=-16πT Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Stuff like Incubus, Rage Against the Machine, Jimmy Eat World, Queens of the Stone age, Feeder etc. etc. I like loads of bands from different genres, not dance and shit like that though.
5614 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I'm still a variant... anything from: metallica green day linkin park haylie duff janes addiction brian mcfadden fountains of wyne chili pepers the animals franz ferdinand and the corrs just to name a small few! Really it varies soo much!

(they are usually the same people who like Good Charlotte or Avril Lavigne) I hate radiohead! korn, limp bizcuit, linkin park and rap like kanye west is cool too. gotta say that the main man is bruce springsteen though. what a legend! i'm more of a singles man myself i.e. i'm more into a good song, from an genre or era, and not a particular band

I have a particular dislike for the lowest common denominator, rap and hip hop, especially the American variety. I am always amazed at the popularity of such mass produced rubbish. Most of the time its all about the marketing and the bad boy image of the "artists". The music itself always sounds the same, I suppose if its making truck loads money they'll keep doing it. I guess I don't like being told what I like by the record companies.
