jimmydasaint Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I like making mind maps to summarise information. Others like lists or diagrams and that is absolutely fine with me. However, I need freeware to allow me to make mind maps based upon the method taught by Buzan Mind map images Can anyone help out, or is it back to the old-fashioned use of pencils and paper again?
iNow Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Well, if you leave out the fancy neuro images and brainy icons, what you've got there is basically a process flow diagram. There's a freeware product based on an IBM tool that you could use. Not precisely what you want, but it could be adapted to your needs to some extent. Go here and maybe click on the getting started tab to see what I'm thinking: https://apps.lotuslive.com/bpmblueworks/
Dr.specs Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) A dedicated application can be found at the following URL: http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Navigate to the download page, and once installed, Freemind creates perfect mindmaps every time, I love it. God that sounded like a commercial there LOL! Edited June 5, 2010 by Dr.specs 1
Ncurtisbrown Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) I use a web based browser program for this sort of thing, all you need to do is create a account, and it will save your diagrams, it is great. bubbl.us Edited August 3, 2010 by Ncurtisbrown
