scilearner Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Hello everyone, Partial pressure of oxygen at lungs is 100mmHg. Is this the oxygen dissolved in blood or oxygen bounded with haemoglobin. I think former is true, just to clarify. Thanks
cypress Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 It is the partial pressure of oxygen dissolved in blood. You are correct. as a side note, above 80 mm Hg, any hemoglobin present is nearly saturated with oxygen.
