Jordan14 Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 This is probally a little easy A boat is moored to a jetty, and from the side of the boat hangs a ladder. Its bottomrung just touches the top of the water, the tide comes in and the water rises at a rate of 10cms an hour. The circular rungs have a diameter of 1cm and the spacing between each rung is 10cms. After 10 hours how many rungs are submerged.

Phi for All Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Right! This won't happen again until 6009.
